Cool Dog

After Greenhills i went straight to SM Megamall for another round of mall hopping and found this really really cute and handsome dog dressed in a Ferrari driver suit with shades. Ha ha ha. All passersby really stopped for a moment to stare and took photos. Including me! Really made my day. Amazing when you go outside your cave and see some amazing things happening out there. Just loved it.




I thought it was a fake. Like a stuff toy placed on top of the bikes seat but when it moved its head i know it has a life. Ha ha ha, yeah it was a living dog dressed to make you and your pet envious.

Great Finds at Greenhills

I went to Greenhills yesterday for a short time only to buy some shirts and shorts to be used for a long vacation(maybe, crossing my fingers). And i found these nice sala sets made in rattan. My shots are not that great as i am a point and shoot type not really with the eye of a photographer you know. Anyway i am just as always fascinated by good crafts though the prices are really staggering to the sound of like 135 0000 pesos! What the? Okay okay. Since i know they were really really good. But i just don't have that amount of money to spend for these so i just feasted my eyes on them and moved on. Some day. Yeah some day.

Healthy Who?

In the spirit of trying hard to be healthy, this is what i had this morning till lunch. And now i am hungry as a lion lost in the wilderness. I am craving for meat and rice and everything food not healthy. Ha ha. How long will i last? God knows. I have to finish all the veggies i bought from the supermarket before knocking down the canned goods and noodles.

Japan 2011

Almost all the news today are related to the events that recently happened in Japan. The magnitude 8.9 quake that brought about the massive tsunami resulting to the devastation of some residential and businesses (manufacturing etc) located near the coastal areas. If its just the quake then the damage might not be that great but having that high magnitude quake plus the resulting tsunami equates to even greater wreckage. Now the fear of nuclear radiation just magnified the fears of a lot of residents.

I am not a Japanese nor i am living in Japan right now. I am not directly affected by the situation but my concern to my fellow earthlings is there. In this times i do not see myself as a citizen of this so and so country but another human being fortunately residing on a safer side of the world. Case in point, i need to do something to help. We all do. And what i am about to do is not post-worthy anymore. If you plan to help just help. Financially, or whatever aid you can give. Help comes in various forms and sizes.

On another side of this short story, i think the government's efforts are not enough to provide assistance to all those Filipinos out there whether they are in Japan, Libya, Bahrain, or some places i have not mentioned having political unrest or suffering natural disaster. It must be a concerted effort by all of us. We cannot depend solely on OWWA, the DFA, the ambassadors, consuls, or even the President. Think, they are all humans like anyone of us who just happen to have a position in the government. Though they may have political powers, connections to another government that is just the big picture. One way or another, you and me can do something about the situation too. Let's talk about it.

I may need to gather more info, watch TV, read the papers. Being informed is one thing. Doing something for the welfare of everyone not just myself is another.

Top 5 Movies

We all have favorite movies. And we do have movies that we keep on watching even though we already know what will happen next. We have memorized all the lines, the accents, the facial expressions, even the actions. Now cut to the chase i, like some of the movie fanatics across the globe has a list of movies that i love. Movies that touched my soul (whatever). And now to present

the Oscar movie of the Year nominees (kidding) my all time favorite movies.

Tied at number 5, SO CLOSE, starring Shu Qi (so beautiful), Zhao Wei (sexy) and Karen Mok. Action-packed movie. Breath taking stunts and gorgeous ladies as protagonists who will not like this movie.



Still at number 5 is NAKED WEAPON. The Charlie's Angels of Asia. I think they are more fierce. And the movie has a soft side. Showing what love and friendship are all about amidst killing people (the bad ones). If you want someone to get killed, they are for hire. Regarding their availability and price, that I don't know. Text Madam M for inquiries. Just kidding.


I love racing. I love sexy actress(es). I love sound effects. And this movie at number 4 in my list has it all. And i learned about trust.

At number 3 is MAID IN MANHATTAN. I love travelling so i have lived in many hotels. And what i like about hotels are the well-made rooms, clean bathrooms, state of the art designs and furniture etc. No i didn't had any personal butler. Back to the movie, i like the plot. Simple. I like the location, New York (who doesn't). I like Jennifer. The movie is feel good.

At number 2 is the Korean movie THE CLASSIC. This is a tear-jerker movie. I cried. Not a lot but i was touched. The twist and turn of this movie. The cinematography is great. The story itself, the actors specially the funny guy. The evolution of the story, the ending. Superb. I like the catching of fireflies part. And the moment the lead actor breaking up with the girl while pretending to be seeing her though he was already blind (now why did i give this clue?). And the ending. The boy and the girl who ended up being together. Anyone who is in love should watch this.

Of course my all time favorite is THE GOONIES. I have watch this when i was in my elementary grade. This is really not a critic-worth movie but i do not care. This film just cannot simply get out of my head. I cannot forget the kiss. Reminds me of someone hahaha. And the boy with the oil coming out of his shoes. So naughty and geeky. It was adventure of a kind to me back then. And until now i feel like the same when thinking of this movie so there.

I am really not that kind of person who is a movie critic noting every lines actors throw, the technicality of the movie, genre, the effects etc. The list above are my favorite because one way or another they have touched me personally for some reasons, even shallow reason but who cares anyway. We live by our own opinion great or not. So justification is not needed. I am a shallow and simple guy anyway. Cheers and peace.

Atlantis by Bench

I remember the times when the most smelling perfume i was aware of was the Bench Atlantis. I guess i was in the first year of my college year, circa 90s (late 90s naman). CK1 is not yet introduced to me nor Tommy Hilfiger Athletics (which is my most favorite of all time aside from Carolina Herrera for Men). I just missed this spray so much that is why when i passed by the Bench store awhile ago i got this for my self. Tsk. No promotion done here. Just reminiscing back the olden times. FYI a scent is a good enhancer of the memory. And that is another story to tell my friend which needs scientific tests.

i still love Hong Kong for some reasons. the sights, sounds, the Chinese. everything. i feel i was a Chinese in my previous life.

i love Chinatown. In Manila there is this place called Binondo and the Chinese foods are great!!!.
