my buddhas and me

i like the images of buddha. how serene it appears to me. makes me feel at peace. makes me forget my problems for the time being just staring at it.

pastel buddha face i bought in bali for 60 000 rupiah, a buddha head made out of wax

i couldn't resist so i tried to strike a pose. this is inside the dresser/cabinet in swiss bellhotel view in bali.

travel blog : Palawan

went to puerto princesa and el nido in palawan. its really worth trravelling your own country. worth meeting good people. really good people in a very good place that is. i loved the place already and i cannot wait to get back there. although travelling from puerto to el nido is not that good coz of the very rough road, when you get to el nido all the backache i had was gone. lots of beautiful islands, lagoons, secret beaches, seafoods. and good people.

please support local tourism especially when the people there are very hospitable and ready to serve/assist you in anything they could. be good to the environment. in palawan they treat their natural resources with respect. they love it. they educate the visitors about it, what they do, how they conserve it, why they do it.

old friends

i was checking my multiply account and saw my old old album. the albums i created back in 2003. it is somewhat nostalgic and kind of saddens me. not really saddens but there is some sort of heaviness in my heart. i really miss the old days. back then when we were young and we're not mature enough to feel, realize and complain about our situation in the company. all we do is to have fun, eat out, travel etc.

now everyone seems to have their own lives. gotten married. parents already. . i'm just missing their company. i think i need to grow up a little bit more noh?

happy birthday to me

happy birthday to me. i kept silent about it when i arrived in the office. i don't want anyone greeting me and then asking where i would celebrate it. it was already held in the prov. sorry guys.

i am a year older again. i am not that old and my way of thinking is just like an 18 year old. so maturity- wise my age is not proportional to my maturity. but its okay. at the end of the day what is important is i am happy today. no worries. i'll save and face them tomorrow. again happy birthday to me.

beijing summer olympics

the games has already started with a very spectacular opening. extravagant if i may add. anyway i am waiting for another fight between rafa and roger in tennis. and definitely either one of them will win the gold. i want rafa to win though but if its roger its fine as well. he's a tough guy to beat when he is in his form.

i will cheer for my countrymen who were able to qualify for the game but i doubt they will bring a gold medal. 15M is not enough for an incentive/bonus. it should have been spent during training of these pinoy athletes rather than an incentive when they snatch the gold. i mean the chances are really slim. even if the whole country pray to god prayers is not enough. there's a lot of factors to bring home the gold. i am not being negative. i am just realistic.

travel blog: Bali

welcome to bali

 a balinese door

some big buddhas when you stroll around the city

don't be fooled by the rate. US$100 is only 900 000 Rupiah. no more no less

and don't read the news. the paper is really outdated like a month ago. unless you want to know something about history.

elephant temple

feeling lost? don't know where to go? just follow the direction wherever you want to be

wanna have some relaxing time?

or just stroll

and see some work of art

or do some shopping. doesn't she look familiar?

or go to your favorite thai resto

and order your favorite dish

just don't forget to pay the bill.. ciao

if

if you are doing all the DOs

you don't have time for the DON'Ts

another one in my "laundry list" is the RL Romance SIlver. I saw this in Duty Free in KLIA. One of the best scent i have smelled. I don't know yet if we have this already in the third world but hopefully i find it when i pay a visit to the mall.

this cost around 141RM or roughly 2000Php. One of my birthday gift for myself :) what's yours?

i don't drink and smoke

so you think i have no life? my idea of having fun is sleeping, watching movie(s), and planning how to cleanse the world. to kill the bad guys that is. so lame and boring.

my choice is different from yours but i would not spend my money just to lose my sanity and get lung cancer with free yellow teeth and bad breath. sorry but this is my idea of what will happen to me when i drink and smoke. if drinking and smoking have good effects on you then its good to know.

i am not denying that i never tried it though. yes i did but that was history. i am just not into it NOW.

travel: KL n Bali preview

i haven't posted any pics yet from my recent trip but let me just give an overview based on my biasedopinion. so i went to KL (Malaysia) and Bali (Indonesia) and gone for 8 days.

when you visit a new place especially another country the first place you will set your foot on is the airport. KLIA is one of the best airport i've ever been to. Other good airports are in HK, Pudong and Beijing. KL-LCC is good as well and is quite better than NAIA. Now why is that? Even Denpasar Int'l Airport is way better than NAIA. I wonder. But we all know the answer. That's another story.

Traffic in KL is not as heavy as Manila. Roads are wider. The only thing i hate was the taxi drivers. taxis in KL usually do not run their meters. Instead they will ask you for a ridiculous amount. mostly but not all.

on the other hand bali is like another small province but very distinct because every structure shows a unique balinese architecture. from houses to gardens to temples. you name it they might have it. even the dancers are balinese. ha ha ha. i love bali already.

busy as a bee

ust got back from vacation. still trying to figure out what to do now while trying to post some pics in multiply, in friendster, while chatting in YM, while opening some backlogged email, while thinking what to post while drinking coffee while watching TV while writing on notebook while scanning my bills while feeling the need to go to the toilet and all the while i haven't finish anything yet coz i want to do them at the same time that i forgot i only have 2 hands and 1 body to do them all. i am just excited or i just don't really know. well let's see what i could accomplish today. i just got up from bed actually. good morning sunshine.
