travel: where?

So i was not able to post on my blog for the past month(s) due to some personal reasons.

Anyway i am back and busy planning for another out-of-country vacation next week (July 23-30). The pics should tell where. Hope not to forget my passport.

happiness

why do we need to be happy? personally.. why should i be happy? when should i be happy? what makes me happy anyway? happiness that entails a lot of questions. different questions actually.

for me happiness is just a state of mind. state of being at the moment. you just feel it. it just exudes from within. it cannot be forced out of yourself. but i believe you can buy it. material happiness that is. money. worldly wealth. beauty. again that depends on how you want to define happiness. and i want to define it this way. maybe when i grow older and become mature my view(s) of happiness will change as well but right now i will take it as it is the way i see and feel it. you have your own views about the subject i believe so stick with it and just be happy (as you are).

where have you been lately?

i love travelling more than myself ( i guess).

where have you been lately? what’s the best things about travelling?

i am a nomad. not literally. that’s just the adjective i want to describe myself right now. i want to go to different places. not only to say that “i was able to go there” sort of things. i want to visit places i’ve never been to. i like to go to places i’ve been to. if only i could split my self and be on those places i want to be right now.

when i am on vacation i really make it a point to forget job-related things.  just simply explore and discover new things on that place. new foods to eat, way of living etc.

leave your worries behind. do not carry excess baggage.

be a discoverer. be a traveller.

i choose..

i closed my eyes for a couple of minutes to free my mind and search for peace inside me. instead what i found are chaos. i am seeing the world at its worst. i saw violence. dirty places and mountains of trash. indifference to one another. the dying planet. i opened my eyes because i did not see what i wanted to see. i do not want to see my self in the middle of these things. i tried to close again my eyes. i heared the pouring of the rain. saw birds fying with green mountains on the background. then i was on the beach. white sand. the waves touch my feet every couple of seconds as they washed away my footprints from behind. then i was flying in a plane sitting by the window. i saw clouds. sea of clouds. and i was relieved.

i realized i could chose to see and feel what i want to see and feel even when i am in doubt, even when things get complicated, even when some people do not believe, even when some do not trust. it is only me who has the power to become what i want to become.

the world will still continue to revolve no matter what happens to me. even when im happy or im sad or in sorrow. even when nobody trust me or when i do not trust someone. its going to be the same world that we live in. what i can do is to choose how to live and be satisfied with what i do.

rice shortage

i still can't believe that third world country philippines experiences rice shortage. its just not true. the truth is that the price soared up to the sky but there was no shortage at all. rice is one of the major farm products (i really don't know how to call it) next to corn. almost all provinces have rice paddies. what do they plant there? kangkong? of course rice. where's the harvest? maybe they were keeping them somewhere. as far as i know there's really no shortage. it was only hyped by the media and the government. we really do not need to import from neighboring countries. they are just doing this to divert our attention. to forget the ongoing investigation to those corrupt officials. see jun lozada was suddenly forgotten because of this!

its really fun living in the philippines. lots of thick faces (direct translation). the businessmen, politician, businessmen-cum-politician. greed. i wonder how in the world will they spent all these money in their lifetime. don't wanna think about it.

everyone of us should follow these rules.

keep the environment clean. avoid using products that cause harm to humans or the environment. support green projects. limit the use of power/energy. buy only energy saving products. try using solar powered devices. use a bicycle instead of driving a car for a short distance travel.
